Things to do in the Brecon Beacons in an hour.
A visit to Brecon Cathedral
The origins of the present building date back to the year 1093. and parts of the original building have been described as a fine examples of Early English Gothic architecture. There is a museum and a lovely café at the Cathedral – it often hosts classical music concerts.

A visit to the Mountain Centre
Located 5 miles South West of Brecon, near Libanus. It’s location offers stunning views of Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales. An adjacent moor-land ridge known as Mynydd Illtyd offers some fine easy to moderately graded walking. It is great for picnics, walking your dog, finding out information on the Brecon Beacons and there is a café too!
