Things to do in the Brecon Beacons in a full day
The Beacons Horseshoe
A fantastic ridge walk that summits the three main peaks of the Brecon Beacons β Cribyn, Corn Du, and Pen Y Fan. Walk will take approximately 6 hours. Car park at Cwm Gedi Training Camp. From Brecon, continue west on the A40 at the first roundabout to bypass the town centre. At the second roundabout, turn right onto the B4601, and shortly after turn right at the Drovers Arms on to Ffrwdgrech Road.

The Gap β 24miles
This is one of classic mountain bike routes of the Beacons taking in the Brecon Canal, the Taff Trail, the Brinore Tramway and the very popular Gap Road.
Technically, the going is mostly straightforward, with a tricky ravine halfway up the Gap road and some big rock steps on beginning the descent from the Gap itself.
The route starts and finishes at Talybont and the terrain: consists of rocky tracks, soft moorland trails and tarmac.
