Becky James: Double World Champion

We are very proud to announce that one of our former teamates has become a double world track cycling champion.
Becky started to work for us in the kitchens during her early teens and we like to think the hard physical aspect of the work somehow helped her to endure the rigours of track cycling – she may tell a different story !!
Three medals at a single Junior World Championship including two titles and a world record is an awesome achievement for Welsh sprint star Becky.
Now Becky has her sights on London 2012 and the Olympiads that follow after showing she is one of those really unique and special athletes that don’t come around very often.

The Olympic Academy rider won the Sprint and Keirin and was second in the 500 metre TT. All this on top of a similar haul at the European Championships only a month before and after a major crash in the Keirin at the Europeans where she was off her bike for over a week.
