For the next few months
Peterstone Court’s chefs have introduced a ‘Really Wild’ menu starring local
game dishes and food foraged in the gardens. Five course dinners featuring the best seasonal local and Welsh
game, from pheasant and wild duck, to locally caught fish and shellfish.
We’re still looking for a
mole recipe…its one thing we have in abundance and would be truly local. Any ideas gratefully received…?!
If you like to taste the
freshest, most seasonal food, here are some of the best things which are at
their peak right now: Pheasant, wild
duck (mallard), mackerel, lobster, crab, pumpkin, squash, root veggies, wild
mushrooms.
Watch this space for next Springs' Foraging sessions with local expert Adele Nozedar at Peterstone. You'll be utterly amazed at what you can find in your own garden. We'll be running a series with Adele and following it all up by offering some amazing 'foraged food' dishes in the restaurant and some special beauty solutions from nature in the Spa.
